Technical Reports
As part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review process, the City of Henderson prepared environmental studies to document any potential impacts the project may have. The following resources were evaluated: air quality, biology, environmental justice, socioeconomics, hazardous materials, and noise. Other documents prepared include the purpose and need for the project and resources not impacted. Based on the findings, it was determined a Categorical Exclusion (CE) would be used to document NEPA compliance for the Henderson 215 Project. A CE is appropriate when a project does not involve significant environmental impacts.
The Interstate system is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) providing a federal nexus to prepare an environmental document to comply with NEPA.
