Welcome to the
Henderson 215 Project
Join us for an open house on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway, Room 4.
Pedestrian Bridge
The intersection of Green Valley Parkway and Village Walk Drive is a critical bottleneck due to its close proximity to the I-215 interchange. It also sees heavy pedestrian use of the crosswalk, which negatively impacts traffic flow on Green Valley Parkway. In the future, if no improvements are made, queues will likely back-up to the interchange and negatively impact operations of the interchange and the freeway.
A pedestrian bridge across Green Valley Parkway at Village Walk Drive serves two purposes:
- It separates the pedestrian and vehicular traffic, allowing for safe pedestrian movement and improving traffic flow on Green Valley Parkway with more green time at this signal.
- It provides connectivity for the I-215 Beltway Trail, similar to the pedestrian bridge across St. Rose Parkway.
