Overview

About the Work

The I-215 project will expand capacity by adding two lanes in each direction between Pecos Rd. and Stephanie St. It also includes upgrades to on-ramps and off-ramps along this stretch, as well as additional turn lanes at key intersections, including Pecos Rd., Green Valley Pkwy., Valle Verde Dr., and Stephanie St.

A major enhancement will be the conversion of the Green Valley Pkwy bridge over I-215 into a diverging diamond interchange. This innovative design allows vehicles to seamlessly turn left onto freeway on-ramps without stopping, improving traffic flow and reducing congestion.

Additionally, a new pedestrian bridge will be built over Green Valley Pkwy. at Village Walk Dr. This bridge will connect both sides of the District at Green Valley Ranch outdoor shopping mall, offering pedestrians a safe and efficient crossing over a heavily trafficked intersection, where traffic often backs up in both directions.
